Not Really the End

We had a very successful garage sale. It is not quite over yet, as there are a few people who were not able to come, but who want to see the stuff anyway.  So, for the next 2 days, we will take turns minding the storage room, organizing and packing what we have left, and showing folks around if they are looking for specific items. Then, and only then, will we be done for the year.

Auction season, though, is gearing up. It is good to have something to look forward to.

Garage sale season is over just in time. The rain held off this weekend, but the temperature dropped every day. By today, we were wearing winter coats. The sky was filled with massive, winter clouds. Occasionally the sun would come out, and we would run outside to bask in it. The wind, however, never really stopped, and we would have to run inside again when the breeze became too much for us. The door to the shelter remained open, though, so we were never really warm. Three cheers for hot tea!

What were our best sellers? Holiday decorations, including all of our partial rolls of wrapping paper (at 10 cents per roll). Baby clothes – we have less than half of the mounds that we started with. Toys, kitchenware, and blankets were also popular sellers.

Thank you for putting up with me during this process. Tomorrow is a Goddess day.

May we all sleep well tonight.
