Day 1: 31 Days of Blogging

Well, I guess I will give this a shot. It must be a shock – it certainly is to me – but it has been some months since I posted anything, and it might be nice to start to write again.

The first obstacle to overcome was that High Feline Priestess Patches had been walking (and sitting) on the keyboard, leaving the Caps Lock button on when she left. Eventually, I figured this out. 31 days may be longer than I can handle.

The second obstacle is that I am not sure I have enough to say. Spiritual journeys do not necessarily progress on schedule. I admire that this will be the 31 days leading up to Samhain. (This will also be the first Samhain that I will be living next door to chickens and goats.) I am sure that there will be some interesting things to discuss, but 31 days worth? We shall see, we shall see.

I just want to say that I deeply appreciate those of you who have been checking this blog since June. I had many things to say in the intervening months, and perhaps some of those things will appear in the next 30 days. I hope you will not be disappointed. I do love you all.

The Federal government has now shut down. The Goddess and I are now heading out for a meditative walk and perhaps a little dance. Happy October!

And Blessed Be.

  1. What an interesting challenge! Good luck! Do your posts have to be spirituality-related, or does the “spiritual discipline” aspect come by the making time and doing? Is there a tie in with Samhain?

  2. Good luck in your endeavor. Though my blog is very different and for a different purpose, I’m going to try to channel your challenge to yourself into challenging myself to be more disciplined in actually doing what I say I want to do.

    • Thanks, Sandy! I wish you great success in your disciplined approach toward your goals. BB, Night
